Concept
A psychological short film exploring the haunting persistence of childhood trauma. The story follows a father and daughter as they confront the legend of a kidnapped child once locked away — now free, but still imprisoned by the memories that linger in the shadows of the closet.
Story & Approach
Visually, the film leans into texture, silence, and claustrophobia — using minimal light and restrained camera movement to mirror the trapped emotions of its characters.
As camera operator, I focused on creating intimacy through handheld shots and shallow depth — staying close to the characters to capture the weight of their internal conflict while leaving space for the unseen horror to breathe.
The result is a moody, emotional piece that balances realism with psychological tension — where every shadow feels alive, and every silence feels heavy.
